How To Use Diet To Be Energetic At 50

I am sure all of us would like to be energetic when we touch 50 years of age. In today’s stressful and polluted world being energetic at 50 is just a dream which each one would like to come true. Our grandfathers and grandmothers were energetic even at 70, pampering their grandchildren with their favorite dishes and telling them stories of their days.

This brings me to wonder what was their secret of being energetic at 70, when we find it difficult at 50. Diet did play a prominent role for them to be energetic at 70. We all do not follow the right diet and are more used to fast foods, spices, non-vegetatarian items and a lot of ghee, fats and oils. Besides we do not have time to worry about what we are eating and just believe we have to take something to survive. However I wish to disagree with today’s norm of diet and think all of us should take good care to live an energetic life at 50.

A proper nutritious diet helps you to be energetic even at 50. It is necessary to take food which can be easily digested. Besides it is necessary to take a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits anmd Vegetables give us Vitamins, minerals and good nutrients. They also provide us with the water content that aids digestion. Fiber in our diet is also very important to rid our body of toxins. Taking of fruits like papaya or acai berry in some form or the other helps to eliminate the toxins and make us feel energetic at 50. It is best to avoid the use of spices, table salt and sugar and use them in a moderated fashion. It would also help if we are able to reduce their cobsumption gradually.

To be energetic at 50, it is best to take light and nutritious food at frequent intervals. Minimize or try to avaoid caffeine to a large extent. 1 to 2 cups of coffee or tea in a day is fine to feel refreshed but more may sap your energy to do work. if you feel like having something how, it would be advisable to just drink some warm water with a bit of sugar for taste. Avoid aerated drinks and go in for fresh fruit juice.

Cleansing your system helps you feel energetic at 50. Diet items that could help in cleansing the system are those that contain a lot of fiber like whole grains, bran cereals, flax seeds and salad vegetables like carrots, beetroot, radish, Lettuce, tomato and onions. Besides it is best to take leafy vegetables like spinach, broccoli and parsley. Blackberry and prunes also help to cleanse the system.

It is better to avoid or take meat and fish items in moderation. They contain a lot of fats and are not as healthy as vegetarian food. They are easily not digestable and are prone to give you infection if they are infected. The energy taken in digesting this diet leaves us with less energy to do anything else.

To conclude, have a good balnced diet to feel energetic at 50. I am sure you would inculcate this diet for yourself and your family, so your children need not wonder if it is possible to be energetic at 50. I am sure if  your children also foprmed the habit of eating good and balanced diet, they would pass it on to their children who would also be energetic at 50.
