Eczema is a skin condition that causes inflammation and itching on the surface of the skin. It can also lead to peeling of the surface of the skin if the condition is serious. Mostly the skin on the arms, legs, knees and the neck get affected by this skin condition. In the search for a cure for this condition there have been many discoveries and cures. The use of fish oil in the cure for eczema has been most effective.

You can use fish oil in the form of capsules, chew for children and liquid. If you are buying them in the liquid form or pills then make sure that you store them out of direct sunlight. For children you can buy chews or mix a little oil in their juice. Incase you are not able to get access to fish oil then you may use flax seed oil; they have the same vitamins and minerals but are milder.

Look at products that contain omega 3 oil. You must use the oil in your food preparations or even in your creams and lotions. If the skin condition is causing a lot of irritation then you can cut a capsule and pour the oil into a warm bath. Soak in the bath for a few minutes. Avoid using any soap but use a wash cloth to clean your skin, in this way you prevent loading your skin with harmful chemicals.

You could also mix the oil in your moisturizers and creams and apply it topically to your skin. It is best to do this at night so that your skin is able to absorb all the nutrients of the oil.

Another method is to mix the oil in your juice of milk. You must do this 2 to 3 times a day to see an improvement in your skin condition. Do not consume too much of the liquid as it may cause a havoc on your digestive system.

You need to keep a food journal to note the effects of the oil on your skin and how long it takes to see any improvement in your skin condition.
