How to Use Green Vegetables to Boost Natural Defenses
Yes you are perfectly right. Green vegetables help us to boost our natural defenses to protect our heart and body against diseases. Green vegetables help to protect the heart from build up of plaque that leads to Arteriosclerosis.
Research has shown that a protein called Nrf2 that usually protects build up of plaque in arteries is mostly inactive in the arteries of the heart. So the treatment lay in activating the Nrf2 in the body. This can be accomplished by taking green brassica vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower.
The lack of Nrf2 in the innermost layer of cell branches of the arteries makes them prone to inflammation and diseases. The only solution to reduce this inflammation lies in activation of Nrf2 which can be done by the sulforaphane, a chemical found in green and leafy vegetables like broccoli. Sulforaphane also helps to increase enzymes to block cancers. Hence the family of broccoli vegetables helps to reduce the inflammation and progressive disease of the arteries.
In addition, it is already a well-known fact that green vegetables and fruits have a good source of vitamins and minerals that make us strong and healthy and help us fight infections of various kinds. Besides taking a lot of vegetables and fruits help one to feel full and get fiber. This helps to control cholesterol and helps in detoxification of the body. Besides they help to control blood pressure. The beta-carotene helps to convert the Vitamin A and give one all the benefits of an antioxidant.
So eating green and leafy vegetables and salads did help one to fight heart disease and improve ones defense mechanism. Making it a habit to include them in ones daily diet helps to activate the Nrf2 in ones arteries and helps to fight plaque and infection and inflammation. The Nrf2 is present in the endothelial lining of the arteries. This is activated by the sulforaphane found in vegetables of the leafy family. The Nrf2 combines with other proteins to prevent the inflammation of the cells and curb the development of arteriosclerosis.
Hence dear folks make it a rule to eat a lot of green and leafy vegetables to protect your natural mechanism and protect yourself from chronic diseases of the heart and circulatory system.
