How To Use Guava For Good Health

Guava available in pink and yellowish white colors is a very nutritious fruit and promotes good health. It is a light fruit and can be taken to be consumed anytime as a snack. It has very high content of Vitamin C which prevents damage to organs like the eyes, heart and arteries. It also protects you from colds and cough as well as scurvy. Besides it is good for the skin, prevents cancer, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol and has anti-bacterial properties.

This fruit gives good health to the skin, and it’s leaves have astrigent qualities. They help to shrink and dissolve oils of the skin and help to tighten the loose skin. Besides guava has good sources of Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, and potassium to keep the skin glowing, freah and wrinkle free.

Beisdes guavas have excellent carotenoid sources that helps to prevent cancer and promotes good health. It has been found that men consuming carotenoid in the form of lycopene which is found in guavas had 45% less risk of developing prostrate cancer. Besides, guava being a good source of fiber helps to cleanse the intenstines to aid digestion and reduce the risk of colon cancer.

Besides since it has good fiber it helps to eliminate toxins from our body, which we accumulate from water, air and our food. When these toxins are eliminated we are able to maintain good health.

The high fiber content of guavas also helps us to have the benefits of lower cholesterol, and blood pressure. It also helps to increase the good cholesterol in the blood; lipoprotein. This also helps to lower the blood pressure of a person promoting good health.

Guavas are known for their antibacterial properties also. Bacterial infections can be eliminated by the astrigents present in guava. The alkaline astrigents help to fight bacteria having a disinfectant property also to help eliminate diarrhea and dysentery.

Guavas are easily available and they can be eaten daily to promote good health. Their high content of vitamin C makes it ideal for children too. Guavas can be savored with salt and pepper and also as jams and in fruit salads. Do not miss to buy them each time you go to a supermarket or green grocer selling them.
