These days the scenario is changing completely as people are getting inclined to use laptops for long hours, making desktops a secondary option.
Gone are the days when laptops are used only by business people during their travel-period. Its convenience, handy-appearance and glamour are appealing even kids to get hooked for long hours. Laptop and Back Problems
The way laptops are designed; back problem is bound to occur. There is hardly any space in the laptops that you can comfortably move your arms, wrist and elbows. Thus, you feel strained back and stiffness in joints. While using, we pull the laptop near us to adjust with the attached keyboard, which further results in shoulder strain and wrong posture. Hence, laptop and health goes in two separate ways. What you can do is try to maintain correct posture while working over laptop.
Tips for Proper Usage
Instead of lap, put your lappy on a desk. This also avoids the possibility of infertility among men that might happen due to regular rest of the gadget over their lap.
While sitting, give adequate rest to your lower back. Sit straight and in the right posture and watch out whether the chair is providing enough support to your lower back or not.
Take a break every half-an-hour. This helps to avoid joint strains and stiffness of muscles. Stretch your fingers, arms and back. Do some walking and again start working.
If possible, use separate mouse and keyboards. This will give you the much needed space to move your wrist and arms freely. This is even recommended by doctors.
Try not to make laptop and back problems synonymous. Work healthy and live healthy!
