
Lavender oil is natural oil and hence can be used as an antiseptic in the cure of minor cuts, wounds and bruises.
If you have a minor or a first degree burn then you can use lavender oil to soothe the burn. Just add a few drops of the oil to Aloe Vera juice or gel. The lavender oil will relieve you of any pain caused by the burn and help to reduce the scar that will be left behind. The aloe will help to cool the skin down and reduce the burning sensation.
If you are suffering from a headache then you can use lavender oil on your temples and lightly massage it in. the oils will help to get rid of the headache, especially if it is stress related.
If you have a sun burn or your tan is itching you then add lavender oil to ice cold water and spray it all over your body or dab some on your skin with a cotton ball. You will feel instant relief and your skin will stop itching. The lavender oil will also help your skin to heal and will protect against further damage.
If you or any one in your family suffers from insomnia then put a few drops of lavender oil on your pillow or spray it in the room before you go to bed. The oil is known to be relaxing and helps to reduce stress and calm the nerves. When you are traveling and have long hours of transit you must dab a few drops of the oil on your pillow to help you to sleep. If you are unable to sleep in your place of stay during your visit a few drops of lavender oil in your night bath or on your pillow will help to put you to sleep.
If you are uneasy due to acidity or anxiety; mix equal portions of lavender oil and chamomile oil and pour it into your bath water. Soak in this for a few minutes before you can rinse of the water. You will walk out of the bathroom extremely relieved and relaxed.
