Importance of health and hygiene in a natural way

Health and hygiene are closely related to one another. In order to maintain a good health, one needs to follow a proper hygiene. Personal hygiene is the primary stride to good health. It is an essential component to healthy living and in preventing disease. Adopting hygienic practices, promoting hygiene in the community, schools and work places helps in preventing innumerable infections and diseases. Some of the easy and natural ways of following proper hygiene in leading a normal and healthy life are as follows:Washing hands: One must carefully wash hands after using diapers and after going to the toilet. Hands must also be washed properly after handling of pets. It is always essential that one should wash hands before and after meals.

Nails: Nails are required to be kept short and clean. Healthy body guarantees healthy nails. If the nails are brittle and discolored it proves deficiency of vitamins and diseased condition of the body and nails.

Hair: It is well thought-out to be the crowning glory and should be properly taken care of, in the day to day life. Hair must be shampooed twice a week with a mild one. One must oil the hair an hour before taking bath. It must be brushed at least four times a day with a wide tooth comb. While cooking, it is vital that the hair is tied neatly so as to prevent any hair falling in the cooked meals which can cause stomach upset and many other health related problems.

Skin: Soap and water are essential for cleaning the skin. Skin should be properly taken care of in order to prevent any rashes or skin disease that may in turn lead to many other infections in the body.

Kitchen: It is unhygienic to keep the kitchen filthy and dirty. Instead it should be well-lighted, fresh and airy with interconnect windows. The cooking area should be kept clean and must be, if possible elevated. In addition, it is essential that kitchen is cleaned at night so that it can avoid the attraction of pests which are the carriers of various infections.

Food: The food must be kept covered at all time irrespective of whether it is cooked or uncooked. Intake of salads with lemon added to it along with fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables daily helps in proper nutrition and keeping one healthy and free from diseases.
