Improve Your Skin Care Regime as you age to get youthfulness in your Skin

Most of us  have a regular skin care regime however there are some of us who haven’t bothered to change our skin care regime since we were teens. Now how healthy do you think that is? Is your skin the same as it was since you were a teen?

If yes then you are the luckiest person on the planet. But the odds are against you and I don’t think anyone can state that they have the same complexion for more than 3 years. In reality our skin and complexion is prone to change every few weeks and thus it is important to change our skin care regime too.


It is important to give your skin a through cleansing. Soap and water does not suffice when you are in your late 20’s and beyond that. You need to focus on a deep cleansing treatment. Steaming your face is a good way to get started.

It will open your pores and help you to get rid of the oil and dirt that get stuck in your pores and clogs them. You also need to exfoliate your skin regularly. This is a way of getting rid of the dead skin cells on your body and making way for new cells to emerge.

Food consumption

The amount of water you consume on a daily basis has a lot to say about how your skin looks and feels. Drink plenty of water during the day. You can also get your water from sources like fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Eliminate products that harm your skin; these include aerated beverages, caffeine based drinks like coffee and energy drinks and sodas. Also eliminate oily and greasy foods from your diet.

Your make up regime

Put your make up regime under the scanner. Wash your tools like brushes and sponges. Soak them in warm water to disinfect them. Change your tools regularly. Check out the ingredients in your products. Those that contain noncomedogenic products in them must be included in your skin care products as they enhance your complexion and prevent acne breakouts.


As we age our stress levels begin to increase. This is directly related to the appearance of signs of aging on your skin. Exercise regularly and follow a relaxation technique like yoga or meditation to help you to relax and get rid of unwanted stress.
