Mastectomy or breast cancer surgery involving removal of a woman’s breasts was the dreaded disease of most woman. However improvements in breast cancer surgery makes most woman proud to have breasts looking similar as they looked before surgery. This improvement has led to saving most of the skin on the breast and the hollowing of the breasts being filled with body fat from stomach, buttocks and also other implants.
Some of those having breast cancer surgery today are also able to take advantage of further improvements that not only spare the skin but the nipples also. The nipples are saved by making an incision along the edge of the areola and the infected breast contents are removed through the half circle opening made. The hollow in the breasts are filled with healthier fat and sutured. Hence it is difficult for anyone except those who really watch too closely to know that a woman has had lumpectomy surgery.
Hence all man and wife couples who understand these improvements in breast cancer surgery can hope to enjoy good marital relationships and feel proud of each other.
