There are a number of joints in our body which help us in proper functioning of our body. Joints in our body play an important role while performing any type of physical activity. However, in old age or after a tough physical activity we may feel joint pain and therefore knowledge of joint care tips is necessary. These tips can be helpful in reducing our misery during a joint pain.
The basic issues associated with joint care are the problems like straining of joints and muscles, spasm, sprain, arthritis, myasthenia gravis etc. Arthritis is inflammation of bones due to metabolic disorders. A regular exercise, meditation or yoga can be helpful in reducing problems related to arthritis. Myasthenia gravis is the disconnection of muscles and nerves in which you feel very tired even after doing a small physical activity. You may feel difficulty in breathing when you are suffering from myasthenia gravis. Other symptoms of this problem are difficulty in chewing, swallowing or a problem of double vision. In case you find one or more of these symptoms in you, you should immediately consult a doctor. There are certain drugs which can be helpful in improving the communication between muscles and nerves. Avoiding stress and taking small meals is also helpful in myasthenia gravis.
Sprain is an injury to the bones of the joints. We should avoid use of the joint or bone suffering from sprain and it should be given an immediate treatment. If you are not able to move the part where sprain has taken place, it may be a dislocation or fracture. Help of a doctor is required in this case. A regular exercise is very helpful in reducing sprain.
Spasm is related to the muscle problem. A cramp in muscle of any part of your body is called spasm. Spasms are always unexpected and undesirable because they are really very painful. We can use a bandage to compress the area where spasm has occurred but we should not tie it very tight which otherwise can be more painful. A deficiency of calcium in our body is factor responsible for spasms. You can take calcium tablets available at chemist shop after consulting a doctor or the simplest way to supply calcium to the body is to eat bananas, potatoes, soya and other similar type of calcium containing food.
