You need to form a bedtime routine in order to signal your body to calm down and relax. This is a good way to ensure that you sleep well at night. The warm water helps to relax my senses and calm my nerves. I add a few essential oils to my bath water as well. My personal favorite is lavender oil as it is therapeutic in nature. There are several other essential oils that you may choose from. Patchouli, orange, ylang ylang, jasmine and chamomile are commonly used in order to reduce stress and muscle tension. Avoid sitting in front of the computer and television at night as it may hamper your sleep cycle.

If you are addicted to caffeine then you must reduce your intake during the day and avoid drinking any caffeine based drink after 4 pm.
