With the breast feeding of the baby, the mother faces contractions whereby the uterus tends to shrink to its pre-pregnancy size. To add to it with the help of breast feeding, the mothers tend to burn around 500-600 calories in excess each day.
Water: Consume lots of water. Normally any individual needs to consume 8 glasses of water each day. But in order to lose the pregnancy weight, experts recommend a minimum of 10-12 glasses of water each day. It not only helps to flush out the toxins from the body but also aids in the losing of the water weight that one tends to retain at the time of pregnancy. Also drinking of water tends to curb to appetite.
Diet: One needs to check on her diet. Intake of plenty of fruits and the vegetables are recommended while caution should be exercised while consuming sugar or any other kinds of sweets. Studies indicate that excess consumption of sweets and sugar are the main cause of obesity in the present times.
