Salt is harmful to your health if consumed in large portions. It increases blood pressure and can affect the normal functioning of your heart. Most processed foods and coked foods are high in salt content and therefore you need to eat maintain a diet that rotates around raw fruits and vegetables. The nutrients that these foods offer you keep your fit and help you maintain your energy levels. If you suffer from low blood pressure then you need to avoid eating canned soups, vegetables and ketchups and condiments. You could have a fruit smoothie or have a bowl of yogurt. The natural enzymes are good for your body and keep you to stay fit.

Throughout the day snack of celery sticks, carrots and even a bowl of nuts or fresh fruits like cherries or grapes. These are natural foods are high in nutrition and low in salts. They are great for your health. Eat salads and vegetable sandwiches for lunch. They are perfect substitutes for foods that are high in fats and low in nutrition.

When you are attempting to lower your blood pressure with a vegan diet then you can also work on increasing your intake of vegetable juices. Carrot juice is rich in fiber and can help to ease digestive disorder. Beet root juice eases acidity. Both these juices are effective in getting rid of toxins from your body; this will help to get rid of excess salt from your body in the long run.
