Make Up and Skin Care Tips for Older Women

We are all aware of the fact that as we age our skin care regime needs to evolve to benefit the requirements of our skin. As adolescents we need to focus on cleansing in order to prevent acne and blemishes and permanent damage to the skin. In our twenties we need to focus on keeping make up light in order to avoid looking older than we are. You can stop using your acne products as your skin may have already cleared up and in your thirties you need to look out for tell tale signs of wrinkles and premature aging.

At this age you want your make up to show you as a sophisticated woman and hence you need to pay attention to the colors that you use. Its time to start using eye creams in order to moisturize the area under your eyes and prevent wrinkles and fine lines from appearing. Eye creams will also help you to get rid of any dark circles that may appear. They also help to reduce puffiness.

Try and stay out of the sun in order to prevent age spots and wrinkles. If you are outdoors then you must ensure that you use a strong sunscreen to protect your skin. This will keep your skin free from sun damage. You must also avoid going to the beach and protect yourself with a hat and sun umbrella when you are out.

When you reach your forties; taking care of your skin must be a number one priority. In this period you must use a night cream. This helps to keep your skin firm and prevent sagging. You must also moisturize your skin well. Remember, dry skin will age faster than well moisturized skin. You must also start using a foundation cream at this stage. It will help to fill in the fine lines and make your pores look smaller.

In addition to these factors and treatments, in order to maintain the youthfulness of your skin you must live life devoid of stress. Stress can lead to premature aging and hence you must avoid it. Hydrate your skin well. This will help to keep it moisturized at all times. You also need to pay keen attention to your diet. Eat foods that are water based like cucumbers and tomatoes as opposed to red meats that absorb water from the skin. You must also exercise regularly. This helps to eliminate toxins from your body and hence you reduce the risk of the toxins affecting your skin. You must also learn to use alternative methods to reduce stress.
