Malaria: Causes and Treatments

Malaria is a disease which is very infectious, they are caused due to plasmodium which is a parasite. The major role of plasmodium is it infects the red blood cells in our body. This case is rising worldwide.

There are many kinds of species parasite (plasmodium). This disease is transmitted to humans by infected mosquito’s bites. When this mosquito bites the person this will rapidly inject the malaria parasite in the blood. These malarial parasites are known as sporozoites they travel through the medium of blood to the liver, and red blood cells.

The malarial disorder or attacks at least for 6 to 8 hours during this period the person infected always suffers from high fever, sweating, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, jaundice, shock, kidney failure, dry cough, cramps, joint pain, muscle pain, back ache etc. Four types of malaria are caused in different species in human body they are the plasmodium ovale, plasmodium vivax, plasmodium malariae, and plasmodium falciparum.

You can take some of the prevention by using DEET mosquito repellent, clothes that covers your whole body, and bed nets or mosquito nets. A single dose of primaquine also destroys the gametes which tends in preventing infection.
