Measles: Symptoms and Treatments

Measles is a communicable disease which is caused due to some kinds of viruses. The most common way of its diagnosis is fever, general malaise, sneezing, cold, watering of eyes, and dry cough. A rash appears on the skin four days after suffering from these symptoms. This rash consists of small round like spots which initially appears on the sides of the face and the neck, and it gradually spreads all over the body. As the time passes the spots grow darker and darker.

Infection is the reason for the origin of measles which can lead to further complications also. It generally occurs in children’s in school age with outbreak occurring in the winter and spring season.

Best treatment for measles is take proper amount of bed rest. For children a cool mist vaporizer can be used to get instant relief from cough. The juice of lemon also plays an effective and beneficial role in treatment of measles. Take around 15 to 25 ml of lemon juice and mix with water revise this procedure 4-5 times daily. Oranges are very valuable in measles as in measles digestive power of the body is seriously hampered. It also often destroys the thirst for water as well as his desire for food. Use a barley water when taken out with oil of sweet almond.
