Meditation is an old practice in Indian culture. For years it is being used for keeping oneself physically fit and mentally strong. As the effect of meditation on health has been revealed, the people practicing meditation are recorded to grow dramatically in recent years.

Now not only in India, but in other parts of the world also, meditation has been except to be very effective for physical and mental health of human being. It keeps us physically fit, develops spiritual power inside us, increases our positive energy and gives us confidence handle the things in a better way. In far as it effects on physical fitness concerns, it decreases the level of cholesterol in our body, give relief from chronic pain, strengthens our immune system, eases the breathing in asthma patients and decreases the stress.

Meditation reduces the stress, strain, anxiety, depression which are the basic factors to increase the symptoms of a number of diseases in our body. Hence meditation is helpful in reducing symptoms of these diseases. Sometimes a particular type of meditation is performed to reduce a particular type of symptom.

Hence, different types of meditations have different health benefits. While performing meditation the negative energy from the body and negative thoughts from the mind get removed and positive energy in stored in the body. Now the person, after performing meditation, looks at the things with a better approach and his performance becomes simple better than earlier.

All types of medications have a single objective that is to keep a man physically and mentally fit and calm, to indulge him into constructive jobs, to show him the right way in his life. People use meditation for cure common ailments. Treatment with meditation has no side effects, has almost no cost and can be performed very easily. Today a major fraction of people worldwide knows the importance of meditation in human life and the number of people believing in meditation is growing rapidly day by day.
