Teeth are tiny, calcified, white formations that originate in the jaws of many vertebrates that are used to rip, scratch and chew food. The basis is the teeth are enclosed by gums. These teeth are in general made of tissues of changeable density. Most animals, especially Carnivores in general, use teeth for hunting.Natural care for healthy teeth:

Dental care: Brushing the teeth at least twice a day is a simple and effective way for healthy teeth. Visit to the dentist after every six months irrespective of any dental problems for cleanup helps in reducing bacteria in the mouth and ensures overall cleanliness. Unknowingly chewing hard things could lead to crack of teeth. In addition, use of a mouth guard by sports person helps in the protection of teeth from injuries.

Diet: One need to intake healthy diet including grains, fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry and dairy products. Junk foods are to be avoided. One also must avoid excessive intake of tea and coffee with sugar. It causes harm to the teeth and increases the chances of tooth decay. Intake of tobacco based products increases the chances towards gum disease and even cancer in the mouth.

Fizzy drink must be avoided as they contain citric and phosphoric acids, which react slowly with the teeth and dissolve them with their acidic effect. Instead, intake of water, juices and milk helps in building strong teeth and stronger jaw bones.

Lettuce: One cranium of romaine lettuce per day is the minimum intake of lettuce one must have to have healthy teeth. If one has a jaw or dental problem that prevents it from chewing thoroughly, one can extract the juice of the lettuce leaf and intake it which will help in nourishing the teeth and gums.

Sugars and sweeteners: One must always try to stay away from sugars and sweeteners as far as possible. He should attempt in avoiding fruit juices, soda, sugary cereals, raw and heated honey, maple syrup, corn syrup, molasses, and sweet grapes, dried fruits like raisins and dates, which are fully loaded with sugar. Instead apples and blue berries are healthy for teeth and gums.
