When the hair starts thinning and falling off in patches it is known as alopecia. If the body’s immune system starts functioning erratically and starts attacking the hair shafts and follicles, the hair falls off and bald patches appear on the scalp and other hairy regions. This is known as alopecia areata. Diffuse alopecia is general thinning of the hair and its loss. Both these conditions can also result from fungal infections, severe damage to the hair shafts and follicles, genetic factors and some underlying diseases.

Coconut oil has vast reserves of nutrients and is rich in antibacterial, antifungal and healing properties. Massage the scalp vigorously with plenty of coconut oil till the skin starts tingling with the heat. The heat will stimulate the blood circulation and the oil will nourish the hair shafts and follicles.
The sebaceous glands will become more active and will nourish the roots of the hair and make them stronger. Coconut oil will also heal the damaged hair shafts and if there is any fungus or bacteria, it will quickly eliminate the infection. Use this massage regularly and gradually you will be able to overcome your embarrassment.
Mustard oil not only stimulates hair growth but it also provides crucial nourishment to the hair shafts and hair follicles. It strengthens the brittle hair and causes it to grow lush and healthy. Put to boil half a kilo of mustard oil and add a handful of henna leaves to it.
