Foods rich in omega-3-fatty acids like mackerel, sardine, tuna, cod etc. have anti-inflammatory properties and must be taken at least 4 times a week, but in case you’re allergic to fish do not take it. You may also incorporate decongesting foods in your diet. These foods help to open up the nasal airway and promote breathing. Onion, horseradish and spices are examples of decongesting foods.
What not to Eat
It is a fact that the presence of certain allergens in our diet may also trigger sinusitis. The most common allergic foods are milk and its various derivatives (cheese, butter etc) nuts, eggs, fish and gluten derivatives (gluten flour, gluten pasta etc). It is essential that you understand what you’re allergic to and stay away from them.
