Natural cures for ear infections

Ear infection is a common childhood problem. It frequently occurs due to cold and is common in the seasons of winter and spring. These sorts of infections can affect the ear canal or the middle ear thereby causing irritation and pain.
Earache is a common problem for babies below 2 years of age. They suffer at least once from ear infection. Severe ear infection may lead to total hearing loss and hence should never be neglected. There are huge numbers of natural remedies for ear infections:
Natural remedies of earache:

Hydrogen peroxide: It is a good remedy for earache. A few drops of hydrogen peroxide in both ears can cure the ear from infection.
Salt: Heat a cup of salt in the microwave for 2-3 minutes and after putting the heated salt in a thick sock, it should be placed on the aching ear. The burn is prevented by the thick sock and the fluid is drawn out of the ear.
Hot water: Put a cloth in hot water. Squeeze out the water. Hold this onto the ear until it cools. The moist heat increases the air movement and the ache is reduced.
Mustard oil: It is good for ear infection. A drop of mustard oil in each ear everyday helps in preventing ear infection.
Mango leaves: 3-4 drops of warm juice of mango leaves in the aching ear is a good home remedy for earache treatment.
Garlic: One must put a few drops of garlic juice in the infected ear and blow dryer from 15 inches from the head. It will remove any trapped water in the ear. Besides this, heat two pieces of garlic in mustard oil. After cooling the mixture, put 2-3 drops on the side of the ear. These are good remedies for earache.
Onion: Warm onion juice and place 2-3 drops in each ear. This is a very simple and effective remedy for earache.
Food intake: Some people are allergic to dairy products, white eggs, peanuts or soy. Prevention of intake of these foods or excess fatty food can reduce the chances of infection. Besides, nutritional deficiencies and other infections can also lead to ear infection.
Pricking ear: Hairpins or safety pins can cause infection. One must avoid the habit of pricking ear by these pins or ball pens to reduce the chances of infection.
