Natural cures for thyroid diseases

The thyroid disease is a medical situation that weakens the functioning of the thyroid glands. Thyroid gland is a minute collection of tissues found on either side of the trachea or windpipe.The thyroid hormones that are secreted from the glands, moves through the blood stream to the cells of the body. Diet: Diet plays a significant role in the curing the thyroid diseases. Fruits and juices of fruits like apples, oranges, pineapples, papaya and grapes must be taken after every two hours.

Exercise: Thyroid patients must consult their physicians before starting off with exercises. Exercise is an excellent way of maintaining the good functioning of thyroid glands. Walking, dancing, rowing and biking are the best form of exercises for the thyroid patents. Around 20 minutes of aerobic exercises each day help in regulation of the functioning of thyroid glands. Leg raises, push-ups and lunges are also helpful in working of the glands.

Yoga plays a positive and healthy role in the functioning of the thyroid glands. People who are capable of doing yoga positions and shoulder stand positions for about 20 minutes daily helps in stimulating the function of thyroid glands.

Rest: Adequate rest and relaxation are the best way of treating the disease. It is compulsory that the patients suffering from the disease must take a day’s rest in bed in every week during the first two months during the treatment of the illness. Great care should be taken so that the body is never allowed to be over-exhausted and all the situations that could lead to irritation and thereby emotional upset should also be avoided.
