Human body is composed of 70 percent water. It makes water a vital part for the body. It is believed that first life originated in water. So you can think that what will happen if water disappears from earth. Scientists keep finding traces of water on other planets to acknowledge about the existence of life in some form there.

Water is the only liquid present on the earth that contains all the properties for sustaining life on earth. An animal can live without water for four or five days, but cannot live without water more than a single day. All organisms found on the earth require water for survival. As water has such importance for sustainability of life, it has been used by many traditional doctors as a source of medicine and as a medicine as well.

Hydropathy or Hydro therapy is an alternative form of traditional medicine where water is used for treating disorders. Its roots can be found in ancient medicines of Greek, Roman and Egyptian civilizations. Aromatherapy heavily depends on water as a source of medicinal effects. Few drops of any essential oil if mixed with warm water, it creates such an aromatic atmosphere that a person can forget all tensions for the time being.

For years, people have visited shrines famous for such waterfalls, lakes and rivers that had the ability to heal many diseases. Doctors always advise people to drink sufficient water throughout the day. Many digestive problems like indigestion, constipation and unusual bowel movement can be cured. In modern times, hydrotherapy has become especially useful for curing diseases of joints and muscles like arthritis, spinal cord problems, stroke and paralysis.

Now a day’s sauna bath is very popular. It has its roots based in hydrotherapy. Taking a dip in warm sauna bath is enough to feel blissful and calming. It relaxes the tired bones and muscles of the body and provides relief to the mind from daily problems. Drinking lukewarm water with lime juice and honey in equal amount during early morning is considered to cleanse the body from harmful toxins. Water is good for the body in any form one likes to use it. Water helps body to maintain necessary hygiene. It helps in boosting immune power and fighting from germs.  Water is an elixir for life. It not only relives thirst but also acts as a medicine.

    I have been using hydrotherapy for some time and I am amazed at what a difference it makes. I am calmer and have more energy than when I started. There are several choices of Vitamins and treatments to choose from. I use the Co-Q10 therapy for my skin and heart.
