Natural Remedies To Help You Sleep Better


If you are suffering from lack of sleep or you are loosing sleep at night then there are a few natural remedies that you can try in order to enhance the quality of your sleep. After the birth of my daughter I suffered from lack of sleep for several months; this leads to me being drowsy and tired throughout the day when I needed to be productive.

In order to sleep better you need 4 things; a good cup of tea before you go to bed at night, a cup of Epsom’s salt, lavender salts or essential oil and a good body lotion. I used these four products and they have helped to increase the quality of my sleep drastically.

In order to enhance the quality of your sleep you need to have a good bedtime routine. You may follow the steps that I mention here or choose to make your own routine. The best way to improve the quality of your sleep is to start unwinding an hour before you need to sleep. You will need this time to relax.

When you begin to unwind you are sending a signal to your body to slow down. Start your relaxing session with a cup of warm tea. Boil a pot of water and pour a cup of hot water. Add a tea bag to this hot water and let it seep for 10 minutes; this will give your cup of tea a strong aroma; you may choose to drink this cup of tea or simply breathe in the aroma of the tea leaves simmering in the water.

After your tea session it is time to take a warm bath; a session where your body soaks in warm water infused with lavender bath salts or oil. Lavender is commonly used in aromatherapy to soothe and relax the senses. The aroma of the bath salts creates a sense of calm while the warm water relaxes the muscles and relieves aches, pains and muscles tensions. Soak in the warm water for 20 to 30 minutes in order to enhance the quality of your sleep during the night.

After you are done with your warm bath you must use a rich moisturizing lotion all over your body. Massage the lotion on your hands and feet and your back; this will increase the blood circulation and enhance the quality of your sleep. In addition the lotion will also improve your complexion as it hydrates your skin throughout the night.
