Natural Treatments for Leg Cramps

Warm water bath is an effective cure for leg cramps. Make sure that the water should stay over the area affected by leg cramp. This would help in providing relaxation to the legs and foot. Gentle massage of the foot area is generally suggested. Do from the upper side and be careful as it will be really very painful.

The entire pain is due to the muscles so the leg’s internal treatment becomes obvious. This is done by the intake of chamomile tea. The tea is very much effective in treating foot and leg cramps. The tea treatment might take time so you should not stop taking it regularly rather continue it for at least 2 weeks in which you can have around 4-5 cups of tea in a day.

One of the common causes for cramps is the loss of electrolytes from the body. To cure this problem one has to hydrate his body. This is a good way to protect the body from frequently cramping.

Exercises are the best way of treating cramps. You can perform the stretching exercises twice a day. Body needs some vitamins and minerals. If you take sufficient amount of them it would really help in treating the problem. Start taking magnesium, calcium and potassium is good quantities. You can try taking supplements which are rich in these vitamins.
