Natural Ways To Keep Your Skin Youthful

We are all in search of the fountain of youth. I wish to age gracefully and will do everything in my power to make sure that I can push the aging process as far as possible. I do not believe in artificial products and cosmetics that are flooding counters in drug stores.

There are several ways to use daily products and they help to prevent aging and ensure that they maintain the health and youthfulness of your skin.

You must protect your skin from all harsh elements. The sun can cause a lot of damage on your skin and in order to avoid that one must take the appropriate protection.

Use a hat and sun glasses whenever you are exposing your skin to the sun. You must also always use a strong sunscreen as merely 20 minutes in the sun can strip all the moisture from your skin. A hat helps to protect your scalp and hair and the glasses helps to prevent squinting when you are in the heat and prevent wrinkle formation.

You must avoid scrunching the skin on your face. This helps to ease the formation of crow’s feet and fine lines on your skin.

When you sleep with your face on a pillow, your skin gets pulled and dragged in your sleep and this caused damage to your skin. In order to prevent this you must either sleep on your back so that your face does not touch the pillow or sleep on satin sheets and pillow cases. The satin helps your skin to glide rather that getting tugged and pulled with other harsh fabrics.

You must always keep in mind that everything that you eat eventually shows up on your face. Vitamins and minerals are important in maintaining a healthy glow on your face and hence it is important that you eat a healthy nutritious diet.

Fruits like papayas, bananas, melons and grapes and berries are great for your health and skin. Green vegetables, leafy vegetables and legumes and beans help your skin too. These foods help to nourish your skin and prevent the aging process.

In addition to a healthy diet one must maintain good hygiene and get rid of bad habits like smoking and consumption of alcohol as they both cause havoc on your skin and health in general. Most people are of the belief that alcohol makes them stronger and a drink a day is a necessity; but there is absolutely no truth to that statement.
