All diets talk about avoiding junk food as they are low on nutrition. This can be frustrating; especially if you are in the habit of eating fast foods regularly. It also leads to frustration during the diet and it one of the reasons why you fail in your attempt to diet. Instead of not eating junk food; will increasing the amount of nutritious food help? YES. It will. There are several foods that you can eat that will help you to increase your energy.

Yogurt is one food that is extremely nutritious. Choose to eat low fat yogurt. This will keep you fit, increase your energy levels and keep your digestive system regular. It also prevents you from colon cancer.

Another good food option is whole grain. Wheat, brown rice and whole grain pasta are great power foods that you can include in your diet. Do not mistake the amount of carbohydrates that you need daily. Not all carbs are bad and eliminating it completely from your diet will lead to you feeling starved and binging on more junk food.

Green leafy vegetables are dreaded by children and adults alike; but they are nutritious and they help to energize your body and mind. Spinach is one of the best options. Blend them to form a smoothie or make green soups.

You can’t go wrong with fruits. They are a rich source of water. They are rich in vitamins and minerals and most of them are high in fiber; thereby making them good for your body. Berries of all kinds are great sources of anti oxidants and they reduce the risk of cancer and prevent you from all sorts of diseases.

The best food option amongst the rest is raw foods. Vegetables when eaten before processing can be extremely nourishing and provide your body with the vitality and energy that it needs to carry out daily activities.

Including all these powder foods in your diet will ensure that you have more energy and that you are healthier and away from all sorts of diseases.
