Home remedies to prevent or cure tooth decay
-A common sense thing to do is to brush your teeth after every meal. Do this regularly and ensure that your children follow your footsteps. Brushing your teeth with warm water has more of an impact rather than room temperature water has. Floss your teeth regularly.
-Garlic helps relieve pain caused by decaying teeth. Crush a clove of garlic and mix with a pinch of salt. Place the mixture on the decaying tooth. It will help to relieve you from your pain and may prevent the tooth from further decay. Eat a clove of garlic every morning to prevent tooth decay as well as prevent bad breath.
-Onions if chewed properly act as life savers. Chewing a piece of onion for 3 to 4 minutes can relieve you of the pain as well as kill the bacteria.
-Lime is a rich source of Vitamin C. It helps in prevention of tooth decay, bleeding teeth and gums and loss of teeth.
-Clove oil is available over the counter and is recommended by most dentists for tooth ache. It does nothing to prevent or stop the decay; however it helps a great deal to take care of sudden bout of pain that you may feel.
-If you are in severe pain and this has caused swelling of the gums then rubbing an ice cube over your gums gently helps to relieve you of your pain as well as helps to reduce swelling.
-For immediate relief, pour a few drops of vanilla extract on your tooth.
