Problem Of Arthritis In Women

Arthritis is a common name given to a number of joint and muscular disorders. Arthritis is mainly characterized by the joint pain. In some case the pain is mild while it may be too painful to tolerate in some cases. The arthritis in its various forms can affect the whole body and can attack person from any age group and any sex.
However, there are certain types of arthritis which are common in women. A woman is always at higher risk of getting arthritis than a man. The pain and other complication associated with arthritis depend upon the type of arthritis a woman gets. Sometimes it may be very painful and unbearable. Apart from pain, stiffness in joints, redness around the joint, swelling and difficulty in performing the physical activities are the symptoms of arthritis.
For some unknown reasons women are most likely to get arthritis problem. Infectious arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, tendinitis, rheumatoid arthritis etc are few among the most common arthritis in women. In tendinitis the rheumatic condition, injury or overuse of tendons cases the inflammation of tendons whereas a virus infection may lead to infectious arthritis.
Similarly, in rheumatoid arthritis the person experiences severe pain and swelling in joints and stiffness in joint movement. This type of arthritis attacks the tissues and makes our immune system weak. Osteoarthritis is the arthritis of old age. Wearing of cartilage is the major factor leading to this arthritis. As the cartilage gets wear away, the bones come in contact with each other and cause pain during movement.
Initially when the symptoms are mild, diagnosis is really a tough task. However, as the symptoms grow with time, it can be diagnosed easily. But the best thing is to get a treatment at initial stage and hence its very important to diagnose it at initial stage. A help from doctor in this case is advisable. If you feel your joints are painful or you find mild swelling, you should immediately consult a doctor who after urine test and blood test can confirm whether you are suffering from arthritis or not.
Healthy diet and regular exercise can reduce the problem of arthritis. A balanced diet which is rich in nutrients may help in reducing the symptoms of arthritis. Taking vitamin B complex and calcium is also helpful. You should eat fruits and vegetables to supply essential nutrients to the body.
