Ginger is extremely popular as a natural remedy for common cold. Take a section of ginger and cut it into small pieces. Add a little salt into the pieces and consume it. This is a popular remedy for common cold. Another way of fighting common cold with the help of ginger is through ginger tea. Mash some amount of ginger and put it in warm water and allow it to boil. Take the water out of the heat and add tea to it. Allow the tea to steep. Strain the mixture and if required add sugar to taste. It is an efficient remedy for common cold.

Garlic is known to be an old natural remedy for common cold. Garlic soup is admired as a valuable remedy for common cold. Chop 4 to 5 cloves of garlic and put it in a cup of water. Boil the mixture and strain it. Now add about 5 drops of garlic oil to it and you can also add a teaspoon on onion juice to the mixture. Drink this soup about three to four times in a day.
