Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that is caused due to the disorder of the blood vessels. In this ailment the skin of the face gets affected and a blush of redness appears across the nose, chin, cheeks and forehead. Rosacea has several symptoms and conditions.
Frequent flushing at the centre of the face that might include the cheeks, chin, nose and forehead, a burning sensation that accompanies this flushing, a feeling of burning with the application of creams and cosmetics on the face, a slight swollen face etc are some of the symptoms that are faced by the individuals suffering from Rosacea.
The cause of the ailment is unknown till the present times. Various theories like the overactive facial blood vessels, heredity, environmental as well as the inflammatory factors are thought to be some of the causes of Rosacea. Again anxiety, stress, cold wind, certain medications, moving to a warm environment from a cold one etc are certain conditions that progress the Rosacea conditions. But Rosacea has its own remedies as well and here are some of them:
Diet: Diet is considered as the first and the fundamental factor that helps in the treating of the disorder. Green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits should be a part of daily diet regime.
Spicy foods, foods having a whole lot of sugar in them, chocolates, trans fat food, caffeine should be avoided to the full extent. Add whole grains and foods that are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids into the diet schedule.
Skin care products: The individuals suffering from Rosacea must be very careful while choosing the skin care products. The products and cosmetics that have chemicals, mineral oil, alcohol and fragrance in them should be totally avoided as these can irritate and annoy the skin conditions, thereby causing Rosacea to worsen.
Licorice and Aloe Vera: Both these herbs are considered to be excellent remedies for Rosacea. Licorice is known to recover the health of the skin. The use of licorice leads to the stimulation of the adrenal glands and helps to eliminate the bacteria that are responsible for Rosacea bumps. Again, Aloe vera helps the skin to become less wrinkled, softer and much younger.
