It is normal for wax to form in the ears but if you notice a watery discharge or pus in the ear then you have an infection. Normally this would be due to an infection in the middle ear. This condition may be caused due to a foreign object in the ear or water in the ear.

In order to prevent this condition one must be extremely careful to control the amount of water that enters the ear. After a bath; ensure that you wipe your ears and remove all the water from it. You must also wipe your ears after a dip in the pool. Doing this will prevent water from entering your ear canal and will prevent an infection.

As a preventive measure you must remember not to put any foreign objects in your ear. Avoid using ear buds and other cleansing devices in your ear canal.

If you have an infection or any inflammation in the ear canal then you must use a few drops of warm oil to get rid of the infection. Normally coconut oil is considered safe to use in the ears but you must check with your doctor before you use any topical treatment when you are suffering with an infection.

If it is alright to use this oil in your ears then you must boil the oil with a few curry leaves and sesame seeds and filter it. Pour a few drops of the oil in your ears. You will feel a bubbling sensation in your ears. This means that the oil is getting rid of the infection.

Extract the juice of an onion and pour it into your ears. This juice will keep the ears clean and will get rid of the pus and any other discharge in the ear.

You must also try sitting in the sun in such a way that the sunlight enters your ear. This will help to clear the pus and other discharge from the ears.
