Wonder why a baby’s skin is so soft? The reason is that baby’s do not expose their skin to harsh products and have a healthy diet. If we could follow a simple diet pattern and avoid using harsh cosmetics; we all would be able to have healthy soft skin.
The key here is to keeping your skin hydrated; internally and externally. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water daily along with fresh fruit juices will do wonders for your skin. Avoid citrus fruits that are tangy and opt for melons and sweet fruits that are high in fiber. To hydrate your skin externally; use a deep penetrating moisturizer.
Use soap or a face wash that does not take away the moisture from your skin. If you notice that after washing your face; your skin feels stretched, then the product that you are using is harsh. You need to switch products immediately. Use products to suit the climate that you are in. Cocoa butter moisturizer is good for the winter but aloe Vera is a better option for the summer.
You diet needs to be well balanced with an array of fruits and vegetables. Cod liver oil from fish is an excellent moisturizer for your skin. Your diet needs to provide you with minerals, vitamins and fiber. Eating a well balanced diet not only does wonders for your skin but improves your overall health as well.
Make sure that you are using products that suit our skin. If you notice an acne breakout or zits after using a certain product or eating something in particular, avoid it at all levels. At times you may have eaten something for years, but suddenly it starts giving you breakouts. This is because of the change in the hormonal structure.
Wash your face several times a day if you expose it to sun and pollution.
