Dandruff is a common problem that creates irritation on your scalp. It is actually a type of bacterial infection and the result is flaking scalp. When you comb or brush, silvery scales fall like snowflakes on your shoulders, cheeks, eyebrows and clothes.

Natural Cures For Dandruff
Coconut Oil And Lemon
Take 2-3 table spoons (according to the length of the hair) of coconut oil. Make it warm. Mix equal amount of lemon juice with coconut oil. Now massage that warm oil on your scalp. Cover your head with thick towel. Keep it overnight. Next morning comb your hair properly with a fine- toothed comb. Dandruff, especially powdery type, after getting soft in oil will come out with other dirt and oil at the time of combing.
Soak 2-3 tablespoons of fenugreek paste in water. Then grind it into smooth paste. Apply that paste on your scalp. Keep it for 40-45 minutes and then wash with plain water.
Neem is excellent for any type of skin irritation. Boil few fresh neem leaves in water for a long time on low flame. When the water reduces to one third or one fourth, strain the water and preserve it in refrigerator. Take 2-3 tablespoon of neem water before bath and massage it on your scalp with the help of fingers everyday.
Keep it for 30-40 minutes and then wash with plain water or mild shampoo. Neem water can cure dandruff very effectively within few days if it is caused due to bacterial infection.
Tulsi Leaves With Olive Oil
Take some fresh tulsi leaves and make fine paste. Mix that paste with olive oil and massage it on your scalp and whole hair. It will work well if you apply it at bedtime and leave it for overnight. Next day wash your hair with any mild shampoo. You will get benefited soon.
Amla (Indian Gooseberry) With Hibiscus
Take some fresh Indian gooseberry or amla and extract the juice. Now mash hibiscus flower and mix with amla juice. Massage that on your scalp and keep for an hour. Then wash your hair. Amla and hibiscus combination not only remove dandruff, it also enhance the volume and shine of the hair.
Lack of hygiene is one of the main causes of dandruff. Wash your hair everyday and do not let dust and grease accumulate on scalp. Restrict the use of chemicals like hair color, hair spray, lacquer, etc. Whenever you shampoo your hair, be sure that you have washed it properly. Leftover shampoo may gear up the problem of dandruff.
Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water everyday to remove toxins from body through urine and stool. Stay away from spicy and oily food, coffee, alcohol and smoking.
