Simple Tips to Help you Get Rid of Unnecessary Stress
As human beings we are normally stressed out, but often the reasons for us being stressed out are so impractical and we need not stress out about the issues at all. However, it is a human tendency to be concerned and this in turn leads to stress and increase in our anxiety levels.
There are a few tips that you can try to get rid of stress and lower your anxiety levels. Meditation is one such art form. You need not be a yoga follower to be able to meditate.
Lie flat on your back or sit in a quiet corner in your room, close your eyes and breathe deeply in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. While doing so you can burn some aromatic candles around you so that you lower your stress levels or play some soothing music. The calm beats of the rhythm helps to lower your heart beat and thereby lower your blood pressure. Think of positive events and memories to help you to relax and divert your energy from the stressor.
Get a massage. A back rub or a head or foot massage can not only divert your mind but the pressure that is applied on your pulse points can actually help you to relax. Aromatherapy massages are extremely effective and are beneficial to your over all health.
A cup of green tea takes you a long way. It is a source of omega 3 fatty acids that help you to relax and calms your nerves instantly. A broccoli preparation or a boiled egg with some whole grains will have the same impact. These foods attack the stress hormone and reduce its production thereby reducing the stress levels instantly.
If possible take a break from what you are currently doing. Go on a short vacation, even a weekend away with family, friends and loved ones can improve your mental health by leaps and bounds.
