This is the season of holidays. Everybody is in a vacation mood. People have planned vacation trips to various beautiful places in India as well as abroad. When on vacation trip, people generally have only fun and frolic on their mind. They tend to overlook other important concerns. One such concern is taking proper care of skin during holiday tours.

Change in place means change in climate and food. Therefore, skin care should be according to the climate of the place you are planning to visit. So, taking precaution to know the climate of your vacation destination before hand is good to plan the type of skin care you need.

Do not forget to carry your SPF sunscreen presuming that you are not going to spend your holidays locked indoors. That means a moisturizer must also be taken. Do not also forget the mosquito repellent to keep those little itchy red bumps from forming on your face and hands. Travelling can cause you to lose a lot of body fluids. So, drink lots and lots of clean bacteria free water.

Be careful about using toilet seats in trains and hotels. They could cause irritating and painful rashes. A tissue wipe or a mug full of diluted dettol water should suffice. Be also very careful to not use those fancy toiletries that hotels provide you. Compact and cute they may appear but could cause allergies if they don’t suit your skin.

Refresh your memory about food allergies. Don’t get greedy and start eating something that could cause an allergy and spoil your entire vacation. If you are planning to go trekking avoid wearing shorts. Those nasty thorns and insect bites can be mighty painful and poisonous too! Wear trousers and full-sleeved shirts. Do carry a first aid kit of calamine lotion, Avil, Dettol, Neosporin and anti-allergic tablets just in case. Your skin is the mirror of your personality. So, take care, prevent skin problems and have an enjoyable vacation.
