Skin Care Tips for all Skin Types

In order to take care of you skin you must first know your skin type. There are typically 3 skin types: Oily, Dry and Combination. You may also come across Combination skin (here only certain parts of the skin are oily, the rest are normal), or Sensitive skin.

Every woman must swear by the CTM (Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing) routine. Wash your face 2 or 3 times a day if you have normal skin and about twice as many times if you have oily skin or an oily T zone. You do not need to wash your face with just water and soap but cause various combinations like face washes, lotions, creams or with milk. Remember that your skin is a part of you so do not wash it like you were trying to get a stain off a white shirt. Be gentle with your skin, pamper it and treat it with care.

There are various tones from reputed brands available in the market and one may to choose to use one of them. Remember the most expensive product is not necessarily the most effective product. A good way to tone your skin on you day at home is to beat the white of an egg with a spoon of powdered sugar. Apply it on your face and neck for 20minutes and wash off with cold water. You will feel your pores tighten up immediately. This can be used for all skin types except sensitive skin as it may be allergic to egg.

Moisturizers are specially needed for dry skin types and during winters. Apply creams and moisturizers all over your body not just your face and neck. You may choose to use the cream of the milk mixed with turmeric for a healthy glow. Remember sensitive and dry skins must be moisturized with high oil content while oily skin needs low oil content.

People with oily skin need to pay more attention to their skin as it is more prone to blemishes, rashes and acne. Improving your diet and increasing your intake of fluids will help to hydrate your skin. Avoiding sugar, alcohol, aerated drinks and fast food will improve your skin texture.
