Pour a few drops of rose water in a cup of lemon juice and pour the mixture all over your body. You can also dip a cotton ball in the juice and massage it all over your skin. This will help you to lighten your skin within a few applications. Wash off the juice from your skin with warm water.
Another remedy that is effective is a mixture of lemon juice, almond oil, milk powder and honey. Mix these ingredients and apply it on your face and other parts of your body that are suffering from a tan. Now, let the paste stay on your skin till it gets dry. Wash it off with cold water and then pat your face dry. The skin will look lighter instantly and feel fresh.
Mix sandalwood powder with lemon juice and a few drops of tomato juice and apply it on your face. This is an effective cure if it is used daily for a week. Wash the juices from your face with cold water and then rub ice cubes on your skin. This treatment is highly effective in getting rid of sun tan and sun spots on the skin.
Potatoes are also highly effective in getting rid of a sun tans and damage caused by the sun. Rub slices of potatoes on your skin to get rid of pigmentation and blemishes on your skin.
