Sleep is crucial for the body and helps us in the restoration and revitalization procedure. Hence it is extremely vital for the body. Without proper sleep one can suffer from severe mental as well as physical impairments. Although scientists are still unaware of the fact behind the necessity of sleep, the researches show that the persons suffering from sleep deprivation face a lot of emotional as well as physical disorders.

This proves that sleep is the fundamental and key to good and healthy mental as well as the physical state. Sleep deprivation is a common problem of most individuals of the modern world. Its effect leads to overworking of the brain. The brain is less capable of handling stress and solving problems with ease. Besides this depression, different heart ailments, hypertension, drowsiness, slurred speech, hallucinations, day time fatigue and tremors etc. are some of the other effects of sleep deprivation. Obesity is also thought as one of the effects of sleep deprivation. However there are a lot of ways by which sleep deprivation can be treated effectively and here are some of them:

Healthy diet: Healthy food provides us with ample source of energy and restful sleep. Make sure to include fresh fruits, green vegetables, varied types of dairy products and fishes in the everyday diet. Studies have showed that the food that are rich in tryptophan helps to keep the body composed and stress-free. Hence the sufferers need to consume food that are rich in tryptophan like cheese, milk, chicken, fish, nuts, bananas, avocados etc as they have a natural sedative effect on the body.

Chamomile tea: This tea is extremely helpful for the people who suffer from sleep deprivation as it has a mild sedative effect on the body and mind of the sufferers. Studies have showed that chamomile tea has helped many restless people to fall fast asleep. Take 2-3 bags of chamomile tea and put it in boiling water. Sugar should not be added to it. After the tea cools, it has to be consumed.

Sugar and caffeine: Limit the consumption of both caffeine and sugar as both of these are harmful and unsafe for sleep. Instead consume plenty of water.
