Buying your wedding dress is the most important decision. It’s the dress that you will wear only once, but it will be talked about for the rest of your life. Every bride wants to sport the gown that will be the talk of the town, yet spending a fortune on it seems to be a worthless investment. You wear it only once and it cannot b recycled, yet you cannot help yourself from flipping to loads of magazine and stores trying to find the one that you makes you look your best.
There is no need to feel disappointed if you can’t afford to spend a fortune on your gown. You are getting married to spend the rest of your life with the person you love, not for the gown. Just because your gown does not have a designer label does not make it less special. Every creation has a replica and you will find it at a discount store just a few blocks away from the designer’s store. Go ahead and shop at the discount store, it will save you atleast 30 % than the original price. You don’t need to be embarrassed doing that. If it saves you the money for the future there is no harm.
If you must have as designer gown and are working on a budget, then you can take a picture of the gown to a professional seamstress who will be able to replicate he gown for you.
I would not recommend buying your wedding gown online due to the size chart. If you are spending a fortune on your gown then you must have it fit you like a glove. Every designer has his own measurement chart and buying online does not help you to customize it in any way. The last thing you want is to buy a gown that looks like t belongs to your fat aunt from 20 years ago.
And remember, even if you love the first dress that you laid your eyes on, or you found the dress that you’ve pictured for the last 10 years, there is no harm in looking around. After all, it is a one time investment, so you might as well spend some time on it.
