
People suffering from asthma should intake food with great care and attention. One of the common causes for asthma is indigestion so you should avoid eating food that creates digestion problems for your body. Some of the foods items that are mostly recommend to avoid are milk products, fried food, rice, urad dal, spicy chutnis and pickles.
Seasonal vegetables and fruits are a good intake for people suffering from asthma but one should avoid eating bananas and lady fingers. Both are found to be problematic food items.
Consume more and more amount of water even between the meals especially during the situation of an attack. This is because the body looses water at a great extent.
Intake of juices is very much recommended. You can have juices made of vegetable like garlic, carrot, cabbage, onion, spinach and lemon. You can take lemon juice with meal and small glasses of carrot and spinach juices at least twice a day.
You can also consume ginger juice mixed with water and honey. This mixture can be taken for around 1 or 2 times daily.
Both alcohol and cigarette are a form of poison for asthma patients. They should stay miles away from them.
If possible then keep a gap of approx 2-3 hours between your intake and sleep.
