What are the symptoms that tell you that you are with child?

There are several symptoms that tell you that you are pregnant. Some of them include fatigue. If you suddenly feel exhausted all of a sudden and all the time it could be an early signal that you are pregnant. The increase in the level of progesterone makes you feel sleep and tired all the time. This happens all through out your first trimester. From your second trimester you will begin to feel more energized.

A missed period is the most common indicator that tells you what’s in store for you for the next few months. If you are not regular with your periods then you must take a pregnancy test to be sure. You will also begin to feel your breasts tender and swollen. This will happen due to the changes in the hormonal levels. The number of times you urinate will also increase drastically. If you experience all these symptoms together then you are definitely pregnant and you must take a pregnancy test or visit a doctor for a positive confirmation.

Some women experience nausea or morning sickness form the first month of the pregnancy itself while some lucky few skip this symptom completely. Morning sickness does not necessarily hit at the mentioned time but can be a syndrome that lasts throughout the day. This is another sign that tells you that you are pregnant.

You suddenly have a heightened sense of smell as if you were a sniffer dog. The smell of food, or a drink can cause a reflex in your system that makes you nauseous or create a craving for that food. Though there is no scientific explanation for why this happens, the increasing amounts of estrogen can be a contributing factor.

Remember that if you are taking a home pregnancy test no matter how accurate you think they are always take them in multiples. I took three the first time, just to make sure that the results were positive.
