First Aid remedy
This oil is effective when used as a first aid remedy against innumerable skin illnesses like infections, cuts, insect bites, scraps, burns, skin spots, etc. Tea tree oil is an ideal first aid remedy for treating cuts, bruises, sprains and nose bleeds and is also useful against various skin ailments and infections, cuts and scrapes.
Tea tree oil is useful against nail fungus, ring worms, genital warts, dandruff, athlete’s foot, acne, blackheads, boils and carbuncles, etc. Tea tree oil mixed with bath water works as a great disinfectant for skin.
One has to simply mix 10 to 12 drops of oil into bath water and soak it for about 30 minutes twice a week. The aroma of tea tree oil is one of the healthy pleasant disinfectants. As a general disinfectant it is particularly valuable for respiratory and genito-urinary tract contamination like bronchitis, sinusitis and cystitis.
Tea tree oil, when used as mouth wash, acts as a natural cure for bad breath, inflamed gums, plague, oral candidiasis as well as gingivitis. It is also used for killing mouth bacteria previous to dental surgery and also diminishes mouth irritation that is frequently caused by dental procedures.
