The Causes of Low Blood Pressure and How to Control it

While you will notice that there is so much emphasis laid on the high blood pressure; one must realize that low blood pressure is equally hazardous and life threatening. Those suffering from low blood pressure may complain from dizziness, weakness, lethargy and fatigue. These symptoms occur as there is shortage of blood sent to the heart, brain and skeletal muscles. As in the case of high blood pressure; there are several home remedies that help to cure low blood pressure. In the attempt to control and cure the pressure levels one needs to tackle the symptoms.

One of the leading causes of low blood pressure is lack of nutrition. When your body is undernourished is gets lower supply of oxygen and vitamins and this leads to the lethargy and general dizziness.

Remedies for low blood pressure

In order to control low blood pressure one must drink one cup of beetroot juice daily. You may add salt and pepper to the juice to add to its flavor. Doing this daily will show positive results and a drastic change in your health.

An Epsom’s salt bath is a very effective remedy for low blood pressure. Add about a kilo of the salt to hot water and soak in it for 10 to 15 minutes. You must do this just before going to bed. You will experience an overall relief and any lethargy that you normally experience will disappear. One must take care not to catch a cold after a salt bath.

You also need to increase the amount of salt you consume daily. Salt helps to normalize blood pressure. For patients suffering from low blood pressure; salt must be introduced in their diet. Salty foods are not only appealing to everyone they can also have curative powers.

You can also cure the pressure levels with nutrients. Eating well balanced meals will help to stimulate adrenalin production and prevent dizziness and lethargy. A well balanced meal includes protein, carbohydrates, fiber and vitamins. You must also drink plenty of water.

You can also try an exclusive fruit diet for 3 to 4 days. This helps to cleanse your system and detoxify. When you are on this kind of a diet you may consume fruits and vegetables in their raw state. You may also consume milk; avoid any processed or cooked food. Drink warm water first thing in the morning. This acts as an enema.

These are simple yet extremely effective home remedies. One must make sure that they speak with their health care practitioner and inform them about the home remedies that they are using.
