The Health and Nutritional Benefits of Apples on your Body and Skin
As children we were taught the proverb that an apple a day keeps the doctor away but how far do you think that the saying was true? In more than one way apples benefit your body and your skin. Apples contain flavonoid; this helps to prevent heart related diseases and disorders upto 20 percent. The presence of vitamin C and the anti oxidant properties of the fruit are beneficial to the immune system; they help to boost the body’s ability to prevent illnesses and sicknesses. The fruit contains close to no fats but are fiber rich; this helps to keep cholesterol levels in check and indirectly prevent heart attacks.
In addition to the health benefits that apples offer your body it is also beneficial to your skin. From being able to treat and control acne breakouts to actually being able to improve complexion and skin apple are considered to be beneficial. Eating apples loads you with anti oxidants and this helps to keep your skin free from sun damage. Applying the fruit to your face as a face pack gives your skin a healthy dose of Vitamin A, B, C and E. Crush the fruit and apply it your face and massage in circular movements. This will act as a gentle face scrub and will clean your pores from deep within. You can wash it off with warm water and splash cold water for a final rinse.
If you suffer with acne breakouts then you must use apple cider vinegar. Soak a cotton ball in the vinegar and apply it all over your face and neck. Let it stay for a few minutes and then wash it with warm water. This will get rid of all the impurities in the skin and also gets rid of the excess oils on the surface of your skin. You will also notice your complexion to be brighter.
Green apples can be rubbed on your skin to tone it and give you a healthy glow.
