A facial is a way of pampering your skin and relaxing the muscles on your face, back and neck. It cleanses your skin and leaving you glowing and radiant. Giving yourself a facial every month will may a world of difference. You do not need to visit a swanky expensive spa or parlor for a facial, an at home facial will do you the same good.
The first step is to use a heavy cream on your face. Do not massage the cream as the first step is to get rid f the dirt and excess oil from your face. Keep it on for 10 minutes and wipe off with a cotton swab.
Next you need to dampen you face with warm water and massage a large dollop of facial scrub onto your face and neck. The longer you massage the better the results. I recommend massaging for 20 minutes to half an hour. This step helps to remove the dead skin, reduce bumps and leaves your skin soft, supple and smooth. Rinse the scrub with warm water.
Steam your face to open your pores. This leads to softening the skin. Steam for 5 minutes only as over exposure to steam can damage your skin cells. Gently remove blackheads from your face, cheeks and nose by wiping it with a tissue paper or a towel. Do not use metal tools on your face unless you are a licensed professional.
Next you need to use a face mask. Use one that suits your skin type. Clay based packs are recommended for oily skin types. Keep it on until it dries up. Relaxing during this stage is very important. Rinse of the face pack with ice cold water and you will feel refreshed.
Immediately after washing your face apply a toner to close your pores.
Use your favorite moisturizer and you are ready with a glowing radiant skin.
