Tips for Healthy Skin

The skin of our body is considered to be the first line of defense against damages from infection, extreme temperature, pollution and other physical injury. Skin disorder may be due both the internal and external factors. The most common skin problems in adults include oily or dry skin, acne, psoriasis and eczema.

For a healthy skin it needs an adequate production of sebum, good hydration, a proper circulation of blood to all parts of the body, proper hormonal balance and opportunity for repair and renewal in case of damage. In case of insufficient product of sebum, you should eat healthy diet, keep the weight under control and manage the stress. You should avoid using soaps and detergent which contain harsh chemicals. Keeping body well hydrated also helps in keeping skin healthy and therefore drink plenty of water every day.

Go for a morning walk daily and do exercise on a regular basis. It will keep the blood circulation of the body proper. Use mild soap to wash face and hands. A soap contain vegetable extracts is good for washing. You can avoid premature ageing of skin by eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid oily and unhealthy food. Avoid excessive drinking of alcohol. Intake of various vitamins and minerals like zinc and iron is very helpful for keeping skin healthy. Smoking is not good for skin and hence you are advised to avoid smoking.

Message of essential oils is very effective for skin health. You can create your own range of aromatherapy skin products by mixing the essential oils in items that follow with sweet almond or jojoba oil or an unscented body lotion. If you are suffering from the problem of boils and pimples, eucalyptus is very effective. Its cooling and antiseptic characteristics are very helpful in curing boils and avoiding pimples.

The strong antiseptic and healing characteristics of witch hazel have made it a popular skin solution for many years. It reduces the inflammation of skin and removes scars. It also helps in repairing the damaged cells of the skin. Rosewater is an effective cleanser. It smooths wrinkles and help in curing acne. It cools the skin by acting as an astringent, aids skin repair and reduces swelling and bruising.
