Tips on How to Eat Less in Order to Lose Weight Naturally

It is evident that we live in a society of over eaters, most of the times we are in that group ourselves. A buffet at lunch followed by an exhausting day and a take out dinner seems to be a common routine. These sorts of diets leaves you low on energy, make you lethargic and less active. In our quest to look good, we need to adapt to diets that make us feel good as well.

Research has stated that for every 3500 calories we eat, we stand to gain a pound. If have done the math correctly that adds up to one pound a week, four pounds a month and 48 pounds a year. This clearly states that we need to cut down on the calories that we consume, therefore calorie counting is a must. Cutting down of calories through food and burning them through exercise you can lead a healthy lifestyle devoid the weight gain.

In addition to counting calories and exercising, you must also start reducing the size of your portions. When eating out, mostly the portions are large enough for two. Start splitting the portions or have the rest put in a to-go box. This way you can split the meal and reduce the number of calories you consume. Most fast food chains offer meals in small medium and large sizes. Always opt for the medium; no matter how hungry you may be. By mid meal you are already satiated and the rest is pushed down, thus ordering a small or medium size works in your favor.

When at home, serve yourself smaller portions. Reduce the size of your plates to begin with and you will automatically reduce the size of your serving portions.

You must keep in mind that dinners must be light. Do not eat anything post 7 pm as the activity that you conduct after that is light and does not suffice to burn the calories that you gained at dinner.
