Tips on How to Gain Weight
There is so much talk about weight loss and obesity, yet there is another challenge that many people face and little to no attention is given to the matter. While a large percent of our population is over weight we are also faced with the issue of under weight persons trying to gain weight.
If you are under weight you do not need to panic. Most people would make a fuss out of it and even question if you are suffering from an eating disorder. Pay a deaf ear to them. As long as you are aware that you are leading a normal healthy life with a balanced diet then you do not need to fear. All you need to do is increase your calorie intake.
A normal male needs 2200 calories while a female needs 1900 calories per day. All you need to do is eat larger portions and eat 5 meals a day.
Increase your protein intake. Instead of vegetables eat eggs; instead of bread choose fish or meat. Have a couple of healthy snacks in the day. Eat cheese, muffins, dried fruits, have milkshakes. Increase the amount of juice you have, drink atleast 2 glasses of juice in the day, more during summer time. Choose jams, butters, oils and other calorie dense foods like cream.
You need to set realistic goals for yourself. The maximum weight you can gain is ½ kg per week. Exercise to attain your goal. Choose exercises that will help build your muscle mass thus helping you to attain you to gain weight. Daily exercise will help you tone your muscles as well as increase your appetite.
No matter what you do, eating junk and deep fried foods will not help you. They only create excess oils in your system which is harmful in the long run.
