Pimples and acne breakouts are caused by bacteria that spread across your face and form boils on your skin. They enter into your pores and clog them thereby causing acne and zits. You need to maintain good hygiene and a strict beauty regime to get rid of the bacteria from your pores.
Start of with steaming your face. Use an electric steamer or place your face close to a hot water bowl and let the steam come onto your face. This helps to open your pores and get rid of the oil and bacteria from it. Add rose or lavender oil or simply pour rose water into the water and steam your face. Steam your face for 15 minutes every alternate day. Pat dry with a towel and then immediately splash cold water or rub ice cubes on your face to close your pores. Use an alcohol based toner on your skin after the ice.
Drink plenty of water. Often the best way to curing the external problems is from within. Water helps to flush out toxins from your skin that cause bacterial infection and reduces the growth and spread of bacteria. Water also helps to maintain the elasticity of your skin. If you do not drink enough water, your hair follicles clog your pores and cause growth of bacteria.
If you are a smoker then you must quit immediately. The smoke that you blow out gets puffed onto your skin and the heat causes bacteria to spread all over your skin. Smoking also causes premature aging and wrinkles and fine lines on your face.
Wash your face with a mild soap or face wash that suits your skin type to wash away excess oils from your face that may be causing the multiplication of bacteria on your skin. There are several cleansers that stimulate deep pore cleansing and help prevent growth and spread of bacteria.
Get regular facials as they benefit your skin in several ways. A facial helps to clean your skin from within, it cleans your pores and removes the dirt and grime and residue of the pollution that we expose our face to. But remember, always get a facial by a professional and never rely on someone not certified to handle the job as they can damage your skin permanently.
